Assaf Kacholi is a tenor with a skill and versatility for singing in different genres and styles. He has performed in numerous international opera productions since 2001, including works by Mozart, Handel, and Telemann, highlighting his ability to master different national styles and performance practice from different periods.

Collaborating with renowned international orchestras, Assaf has performed many concert works, including Mozart´s “Requiem”, Handel’s “Messiah” and Haydn´s “Creation”. His strong passion for Art songs allows him to display the warmer and more intimate facets of his voice, including performances of Schumann’s "Dichterliebe" and Tosti´s Italian love songs. 

 

Since 2007 he has experienced wider international success through his work with the classical-crossover vocal ensemble Adoro, under the label Universal Music.  Amongst Adoro’s achievements are four best-selling albums in Germany and Austria, and a memorable performance at the Brandenburg Gate for the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. Assaf has a degree in Singing and Performing Arts (B.Mus.) from the Rubin Music Academy, Tel Aviv. Since 2002 he has studied singing in Berlin with Prof. Scot Weir, Kumiko Okabo-Bohrmann, and currently with the tenor Jeffrey Francis.
