ASymphony Of Hope
For 2020 From Assaf Kacholi
Established classical crossover tenor, Assaf Kacholi, releases his third album - Symphony.
Following the success of his previous albums bestselling tenor Assaf Kacholi called upon his large fan base to help him bring his new album to life. A crowd funded campaign gave him the means to put together an album of soaring melodies, and demonstrate his most accomplished vocal work to date.
Symphony takes the listener on a journey through emotional songs selected by Kacholi from film and TV. The singer lends his own interpretation to the well known songs, using the timbre of his unique voice to play with gentle, reflective moments and belting crescendos.
Tracks of note include ‘Halleluja’, a grand sweeping cover of Leonard Cohen’s folk ballad, and the classically beautiful ‘Nessun Dorma’, which shows off Kacholi’s impressive range. The real show stopper though is the eponymous track ‘Symphony’. This unique take on Clean Bandit and Zara Larsson’s synth pop hit is a love song to music, relationships and how the two work in harmony. Kacholi’s version feels very different to the original, and will resonate with stunning depth when he performs it live in concert halls in the future.
The album is a response to the locked down world we have all experienced through 2020. The carefully chosen songs, sung in languages including English, Greek and French, are intended to give a feeling of connection to distant loved ones, friends and family, and leave the listener with a sense of optimism and hope.
Speaking of his inspiration behind the album, Assaf Kacholi said;
“I truly hope that this new album, Symphony, will bring everyone joy, comfort and positive energy during this very challenging time.”
Symphony will be released on the 25th September, 2020. It is expected to receive a positive response from Kacholi’s established fan base, grown from his success as part of vocal ensemble ADORO and built upon through his previous two popular albums. With ADORO Assaf Kacholi released 10 bestselling albums in Germany and Austria, and has since built a successful solo career, appearing on TV shows and international stages.
